To increase your sales
and profit-building potential, National Dropshippers®
recommends that you browse our warehouses and products, and choose a
product line in which you are personally interested and familiar.
For example, a car stereo enthusiast may do well selling car
stereos, speakers, and car accessories, but not as well with jewelry or
clothing. Most of the best eBay sellers stick to a limited
number of related product lines, rather than try to sell too broadly in too many
categories.
We also recommend the use of auction
tools such as Turbo Lister®,
which we discussed earlier in the tour. Turbo Lister®
has templates that will give your auction listings a much more
professional look, making them appear far more attractive to your
potential buyers.
When considering what to sell at
auction, you should first consider the marketplace. Familiarize
yourself with the products, and then go shopping. Pay attention
to what items have bids on them, and what items do not. Also pay
attention to how much items are selling for. eBay has tools on
their site that will help you discover the average selling price for
any particular item. Be aware that your markups should be low,
as most shoppers go to online auctions expecting to find bargains.
Also, if there are too many of a particular item listed, try listing
alternative items instead. Too much competition can reduce your
chances of a sale.
There are many factors involved when
selling at online auction. Timing, presentation, price,
competition, and your seller reputation will all impact your sales.
Do your homework, and you will soon discover what works for you and
your business.
